Beginner Watercolor Course

Class Description

January 7, 2025 - January 28, 2024 | 5:30-7pm All Levels Brigham City Community Center - 24 N 300 W, Brigham City As we embark on the new year, dive into the world of watercolor painting with Jennica's comprehensive course designed for both beginners and seasoned artists. Whether you're eager to try something new or looking to refresh your skills, this course is the perfect opportunity. You will learn some of Jennica’s most-used techniques, as well as several exercises that will give you a wonderful foundation for watercolor painting. This course focuses heavily on the process of creating over the product. Jennica pulls most of her subject matter from nature and finds beauty in the way watercolor portrays nature so organically. Much of what you will paint during the 4 weeks of class will be inspired by nature and the season we are experiencing. If you would like some recommendations check out some of my favorite supplies. https://www.creativeleafstudio.com/favorites Supplies List: -Watercolor paint -Watercolor paper(highly recommend a watercolor sketchbook) -Variety of paintbrushes(make sure some come to a good point and some that hold a good amount of water) -tea towel or scrap of fabric -water cups This watercolor class is open to all ages and skill levels. However, children younger than 10 years old must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the class. This ensures they have the guidance and support they need to enjoy the experience fully. Any questions or concerns about age please reach out (: *As we prepare for our upcoming beginner’s watercolor class this January, I wanted to share a few important updates: Weather Contingency Plan: In the event of extreme weather, we will hold the class via Zoom to ensure everyone's safety. Zoom Option for In-Person Classes: At the community center, we will also be testing Zoom as an option for those unable to attend in person. Please note that using Zoom in this setting may feel a little different. I’ll be demonstrating techniques under the camera but will also walk around to interact with students present in the room.
