Paint with Me

Finding Inspiration Together

Full discloser I do have a lot of supplies that I love, but to be completely honest with you, you don't need a lot to get started. I painted with a Crayola watercolor set for a long time. Still to this day I will use the cheaper brushes while painting. That being said I've learned that having nicer material makes it easier and I've been so much happier with the outcome of my paintings.

Here's a few things to give you a good starting point :)

Watercolor & Painting Favorites

Brushes

My biggest thing with brushes is that you want a good round brush that comes to a point. My favorite sizes are a 12, 6 & 2

Paint

With paint there are a lot of good options! I just suggest that you steer clear of the chalky paint. Look for paint has a good saturation to it when you wake it up with water.

Also if you can only buy 3 tubes of paint buy a red, yellow and blue.

Paper

Good Paper makes a big difference! Look for a heavier weight paper. I generally us a 140 lb. cold pressed.

other good stuff to have

There is a lot of really fun stuff out there that can make painting more comfortable and give you opportunities to help you find your style.
