Private Watercolor Lessons
Class Description
Explore your creative side with private watercolor lessons taught by artist Jennica Thurgood. I believe that the process of creating art is as important as the end result, so I emphasize the process over the product. With my help, you will learn the basics of watercolor through studying color theory, as well as various techniques and styles. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced artist, I can help guide you in this creative process. Each lesson is about an hour long. At the beginning of each lesson we will look at what the student has been working on during their own time or go over what we worked on together. We'll go over some watercolor techniques and color theory. The last part will be spent using the skills we learned to paint their own piece. I try to make it as easy as i can on you by allowing you to pick your own days for lessons. Lessons don't need to be every week, we can do once a month or just whenever the student has time. I keep track of where each student is at and we pick up where we left off. I have my lessons set up so we can do a 6 week course or a 12 week with the option to do a beginner or intermediate level with in that. 6 Lesson These lessons are designed for those students that plan on spending more time on their own painting. I recommend these lessons for adults and teens. During our time together we will spend more time on practicing the techniques and color theory. The student will be expected to spend more of their own time on the assigned project/painting prompt. 12 Lesson These lessons are designed for more time to be spent painting projects together. This is a slower paced set up. Everything that is expected for these lessons will be done during our time together. I recommend this course for younger students as well as those that live a busy life and would like more guidance while painting the assigned projects. The Beginner Level Here we start from square one. I actually recommend that everyone starts here. In the beginner level we start with some of the most basic skills needed in watercolor painting. The Intermediate Level In this level be build off of what we learned in the beginner level. We'll take something like the wet-in-wet technique and learn how to use it in multiple scenarios. Think of it as a if we were propagating a plant. In the beginner level we grow our initial roots then in the intermediate level the roots we grew in the beginner level branch out and grow more roots :)
